OffGrid Dose GLP-1 Tracker App: Features, Privacy, and How It Works

By OffGrid Dose Editorial Team5 min read

OffGrid Dose is a GLP-1 tracker app for iPhone and iPad that helps you record injections, injection sites, weight, side effects, photos, reminders, and notes. It is designed for people taking medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, compounded semaglutide, or compounded tirzepatide who want an organized record without creating an app account.

The app is a free download with in-app purchase options. Apple shows the current availability and terms in the App Store listing, so this article focuses on the product workflow rather than fixed purchase details.

What does OffGrid Dose track?

OffGrid Dose is built around the recurring details people often want to remember between injection days and provider visits:

  • The medication and dose you logged
  • The date and time of an injection
  • Which injection-site zone you used
  • Weight entries and changes over time
  • Side effects, severity, and resolution
  • Progress photos and before-and-after comparisons
  • Daily notes for context

The app also includes a calendar view. If you forgot to log something on the day it happened, you can add the shot, weight, symptom, or note to the earlier date so the timeline is easier to review.

The main OffGrid Dose features

A 10-second check-in flow

The App Store listing describes a 10-second check-in flow for recording the information you need most often. A short workflow matters because a tracker is only useful when it fits into the day you already have.

Eight-zone injection-site history

OffGrid Dose records eight zones across the abdomen, thigh, arm, and hip. The last-used history gives you a quick way to review where you logged previous injections. It is a record-keeping tool, not a clinical site recommendation. Always follow the Instructions for Use for your exact medication presentation and your prescriber's guidance.

Weight charts with dose-change markers

The progress view puts recorded weights on a chart and marks dose changes on the timeline. This provides context when you review your own record. A chart does not prove that a dose caused a weight change, predict a future result, or replace medical guidance.

Illustrative medication-level estimates

The app includes an estimated medication-level curve based on published population pharmacokinetic data. The curve is illustrative, not a measurement of the amount in your body. It should not be used to choose a dose, change a treatment schedule, or make an urgent medical decision.

Side-effect tracking

You can log symptoms with severity and resolution information. Recording the date and duration can make a provider conversation more specific than trying to reconstruct the last several weeks from memory. The app displays a timeline of entries; it does not diagnose a symptom or establish that a dose caused it.

Local reminders, notes, and PDF export

The App Store listing includes local weekly injection reminders and an optional daily weight reminder. You can also write free-form notes in the daily calendar and export a printable PDF summary of weight history, dose changes, injections, side effects, and notes for a date range you choose.

How private is OffGrid Dose?

OffGrid Dose does not require an app account and does not operate a company health-data sync or server-side health database for the working health log. The app's working health records are stored locally in the app. Depending on your Apple and device settings, an encrypted device backup may include app data.

That model has a clear trade-off: the app is not a cloud-synced health record that follows you automatically across devices. Purchases, entitlement checks, App Store services, user-chosen exports, and optional Apple backups are separate data flows. Apple also discloses app privacy categories for identifiers and usage data used for advertising or analytics; those disclosures are not the same as sending your injection log or progress photos to the company.

Read the longer explanation in How OffGrid Dose Keeps Your GLP-1 Data Private and compare the full privacy policy before deciding whether the storage model fits your needs.

What devices and medications are supported?

The current App Store listing supports iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 18.0 or later on iPhone or iPadOS 18.0 or later on iPad. OffGrid Dose is focused on injectable GLP-1 tracking and includes context for Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide, and custom medications.

If you need Android support, a web dashboard, nutrition logging, or account-based cross-device sync, a different tracker may be a better fit. Use the GLP-1 tracker comparison guide to compare those trade-offs.

Is OffGrid Dose medical advice?

No. OffGrid Dose is a personal organization and tracking tool. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend doses, determine that a symptom is caused by a medication, or replace a clinician. Bring your questions and your exported record to your prescriber, and follow the label and medication-specific instructions you were given.

How to get started

  1. Download OffGrid Dose from the App Store.
  2. Choose your medication and enter the details you want to track.
  3. Log your next dose, site, weight, and symptoms.
  4. Turn on the local reminders that fit your routine.
  5. Use the calendar and PDF export when you want a more complete record.

The goal is a useful record that takes seconds to maintain and gives you better context when you review your GLP-1 journey with a healthcare professional.
